1. Scope of this notice process
We take claims of copyright infringement seriously. This process is intended for reports relating to alleged copyright or related-rights infringement, including notices commonly described as DMCA notices in the United States and equivalent or similar copyright complaints that may arise under EU member state law or other applicable law.
2. What to include in your notice
Please provide enough information for us to evaluate the complaint. A valid notice should generally include: your full name and contact details; the identity of the copyright owner if different from you; a description of the copyrighted work or protected material; the specific location of the allegedly infringing material; a statement explaining why you believe the use is unauthorised; and a statement that the information in your notice is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the rights holder where applicable.
3. Signature and authority
Your notice should include an electronic or physical signature, or another clear indication of authority appropriate to the legal basis of your complaint. If you are acting for a company, publisher, institution, or other rights holder, please identify your role or authorisation.
4. Where to send notices
Please send copyright complaints and takedown requests to team@digitalfieldguide.app. If you appoint a designated DMCA agent or local EU legal contact in future, you may add that information here as well.
5. Review and response
After receiving a sufficiently detailed notice, we may review the claim, request further information, contact the customer involved, limit access to the relevant material, remove content, or take other reasonable steps as appropriate. We may also preserve relevant records where needed for legal, compliance, or dispute-handling purposes.
6. Counter-notices and disputes
If content is removed or access is limited following a complaint, the affected customer may be given an opportunity to respond where appropriate and legally permitted. We may decline to restore content while a dispute remains unresolved or where restoration would create legal or operational risk.
7. Good-faith use of this process
This process must be used in good faith. False, misleading, abusive, or bad-faith notices may be rejected. We reserve the right to seek clarification where a complaint is incomplete, unclear, or unsupported.
8. Legal framework note
This page is intended as an operational notice policy for a small B2B SaaS service and does not constitute legal advice. Because copyright notice requirements can differ by jurisdiction, including between the United States and the European Union, you should adapt this page with legal counsel before production use.
